Caring Van Service


Caring Van service is donated by the "Heart Warming Fund", which is committed to providing community-based barrier-free transportation services for the elderly and the disabled, taking them to and from medical consultations and participating in activities. 

  • Provide appropriate services for the poor and deprived elderly/disabled to relieve the pressure on caregivers 
  • Improve the quality of life of the elderly/disabled and caregivers 
  • Provide reliable escort service, reduce waiting time for transportation 
  • Build barrier-free communities 


Service Target

  • Elderly/disabled persons who receive CSSA or have financial difficulties or
  • Elderly/disabled people with limited mobility and unable to take public transportation


Service Content

Caring Van is equipped with 12 seats and 3 wheelchair seats, tail lift and wheelchair safety locks for service users 

  • Medical follow-up service 
  • Holiday service 


Service Boundary

  1. Hong Kong Island: Western District, Southern District and Eastern District 
  2. New Territories: Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi 


  • Follow-up consultations do not accept applications outside the service area, except for activities
  • To and from the residence and the hospitals/clinics under the Hospital Authority / Department of Health in the same district


Service Hours

  • Medical follow-up service (Back and forth to hospitals/clinics under the Hospital Authority/Department of Health)
    • Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. 
  • Saturday/Sunday and special holiday services (such as family reunions, grave sweeping and participation in community activities) 


How to apply

Complete the application form for the caring van service and submit the application by fax or electronic form. 

**Reservation of the caring van service requires an appointment application three working days in advance**

Service Charge

  • One-way fare (Only provide Octopus payment method)
    • service user HK$10
    • Caregiver HK$10 
  • Elderly/disabled persons who are fee Waiver must have a referral form filled out by a social worker. please call our service for details.
